The buy-back floor
Within 12 months and under +20,000 km, with no accident or structural damage and the scheduled service kept, we will buy this vehicle back for at least 80% of what you paid — the figure is written on your invoice on the day you buy.
This will almost always be less than selling it yourself. It exists so a change in your circumstances is not a total loss — not as a way to trade up.
One worked claim
In March the owner of a 2017 Fortuner bought from us in November reported a gearbox shudder 14,200 km into the guarantee. Diagnosis: Torque-converter lock-up clutch..

What is never covered
Wear items (clutch friction plate, brake pads and discs, tyres, bushes, batteries, belts, filters, wiper blades); body, paint, trim, cosmetic electrical; anything disclosed as marginal at sale; and consequential cost — a hire car, lost income, a missed job.
